Does Mum need a smartphone or computer with an internet connection?
Not at all. She just needs to be able to answer a regular phone call. Our virtual biographer Charlie calls her — no downloads, no logins, no screens.
What if the book isn’t ready in time for Grandpa’s big day?
When you purchase a Family Story, you are buying the entire journey. The gift starts when Charlie, our virtual biographer, makes its first phone call at a time you schedule. The journey only concludes when the beautifully designed and printed biography arrives weeks later as a wonderful surprise.
How long does the whole process take?
Most biographies take 8–12 weeks of regularly scheduled 10-15 minute phone calls. Our virtual biographer Charlie works entirely at your loved one’s pace — there’s no pressure, no deadline and they can take as long as they like to complete all their calls.
Is our family’s data private?
All recordings and content are encrypted, stored on Australian servers, and never shared with third parties. You own, control and can download everything. We comply fully with the Australian Privacy Principles.
